The museum says the show is the first monographic exhibition of Frida Kahlo in Switzerland and focuses on her painted work. It brings together around 50 paintings, about a third of her painted output, plus 15 drawings.
The display follows her development from the 1920s to the 1950s, with her self-portraits at the centre alongside still lifes and portraits of family and friends.
